ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: – A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule of Part II of third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956 (Persons Possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of the section 13 of the Act. aforesaid). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./M.S. or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Candidate should have completed total 14 years, 10 years, 06 years and 03 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post graduation at a recognized teaching Institution for Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, respectively as on last date of submission of application OR 12 years, 08 years, 04 years and 01 year of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh. (2 Years duration) in the concerned specialty at a recognized teaching Institution for the post of Professor,
Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively as on last date of submission of application
OR
11 year, 07 year, 03 year, 0 (nil) teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of D.M/MCh. (3 years duration) in the respective specialty at a recognized teaching Institution for the post of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively as on last date of submission of application. In subjects where Post-Postgraduates qualification is not yet prescribed by MCI, three years post M.D/M.S experience in concerned specialty as Senior Resident at a Institute recognized by MCI for the purpose will be accepted in lieu of such qualification for the post of Assistant Professor.
Prescribed duration of experience will be determined as per Institute rules.
College of Nursing: (A) Lecturer: (i) Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University. (ii) Registered nurse & midwife (c) Five year experience with a minimum of 02 years teaching experience in nursing Tutor : M.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognized Institution/University OR B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognized Institution/University and must be a Registered Nurse & midwife with Sister/Tutor Diploma (ii) Three year experience in teaching institution.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
For Assistant/Associate/Additional Professor Live transplant Unit (Surgical Gastro)
For Assistant Professor: Candidate should posses M.S (Surgery)/DNB (Gen. Surgery) with 03 years experience in Surgical Gastroenterology/Hepatobiliary Surgery out of which atleast 06 months experience in a Liver Transplant Unit OR M.Ch. Surgical Gastroenterology (03 years course) with atleast 06 month experience in a liver Transplantation Unit OR MS (Surgery) with fellowship in multi organ transplantation/live transplantation with at least 03 year post MS Teaching & Research experience. For
Associate Professor the candidate should possess above qualification with six years recognized with atleast one year in liver transplant teaching and training experience. For Additional Professor the candidate should possess above qualifications with ten years recognized teaching and training experience of with with atleast 02 years experience in a Liver Transplant unit.
For Assistant Professor of Hepatology the candidate should possess MD/DNB (Medicine) with 03 years Senior Residency in Gastroenterology/Hepatology with atleast 06 months experience in a Liver Transplant unit OR MD (Gastroenterology)/DM (Hepatology)/DNB (Gastroenterology) 03 years duration.
For Associate Professor of Hepatology: the candidate should possess above qualifications with 06 years teaching & training experience with 01 year experience in Liver Transplant Unit.
For Assistant Professor (Radio-pharmacy) the candidate should possess a M.Sc. (Chemistry/Bio-
chemistry/Pharmaceuticals Sciences with Ph.D. in (Chemistry/Bio-chemistry/Radio-pharmacy)/Pharmacy with Radio-chemistry as the main theme of the work with each of the above Ph.D. with 03 years post Ph.D. hands on teaching experience of working in Hospital Radio-pharmacy and demonstrable expertise in Radio-labeling of various SPECT/PET imaging Ligands and experience in handling large quantities of radioactivity.
Desirable Experience: Knowledge of radiation safety and good manufacturing practice of pharmaceuticals (GMP) will be desirable with evidence of publication in area of radio-pharmacy.
For Additional/Associate/Assistant Professor of Hematology: For Clinical Hematology the candidate should posses a recognized Post Graduate Degree of M.D (Medicine/Pediatrics/Pathology) or DM (Clinical Hematology) or an equivalent qualification with post graduate teaching and Research experience as mentioned above and proven publication record in high impact Journals. The candidate must have clinical experience in performing bone-marrow transplantation independently. For Lab Hematology the candidate should posses a recognized post graduate degree of MD (Pathology) or DM (Hemato-Pathology) or an
equivalent qualification with recognized post graduate teaching and Research experience as mentioned above.
For Assistant Professor Immunology (Medical): The person will have medical postgraduate degree in Medicine/Peadiatrics with DM in Clinical Immunology. It is desirable that the candidate is committed to work in the field of autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
For Assistant Professor Biostatistics: Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics/Population studies with statistics at postgraduate level having 03 years teaching/research experience is essential and the candidate should have sound knowledge of statistical computing using SPSS/SAS/BMDP/GLIM/Neural Network, computer programming on any high level language, special interest in Risk Analysis/life time data analysis/stochastic models/statistical method in epidemiology and heath care evaluation or the candidate should have special interest in Multivariate categorical and analysis/Regression models/Meta-analysis/statistical Genetics will be preferred.
For Assistant Professor, Hospital Administration : The candidate should have MD (Hospital
Administration)/MD(Community Health Administration)/MD(Health Administration) with 03 years teachning experience in the subject in a recognized medical college/institution as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.
For Assistant Professor (Neuro- ophthalmology) : The candidate should have MD/MS in Ophthalmology with three years teaching experience in Neuro-ophthalmology in a recognized teaching & research Institution. For Lecturer, Nursing College: The candidate should possess M.Sc. degree with specialization in Medical & Surgical Nursing.
